WinFF is a freeware video converter for Windows.

WinFF is a Windows port of one of the most popular video converters for Linux, and it was the go-to video conversion solution for Debian and Ubuntu for a long time. Like its Linux counterpart, the Windows version, which was originally released for XP, is freeware. That means that you can use it without costs or restrictions. The developer has also updated WinFF with each new Windows release including all the way up to Windows 10.

WinFF is not a looker and still uses a user interface aesthetic that has not been in style since Windows 2000. Nevertheless, WinFF has always been about function over form. This converter is fast and efficient, and the button-centric UI is to the point. There are no buried features but rather just everything you need to select and convert videos as well as configure the conversion.

This program lets you convert one video format or container to another. You can also convert a video file with audio into a WAV or other audio file. Codec support is expansive. Want to add support?
